Every community needs a Parent Place! The mission of the Parent Place is to create a space where parents feel validated, valued and understood as they navigate the challenges of parenting children and young people ages 0-19. The core values of The Bridge Youth & Family Services shape the Parent Place and the Society believes that the family unit, in all its diversity, is the basic building block of society.
The Parent Place is located in a relaxed and supportive home-like setting in the heart of Kelowna on Cadder Avenue. The activities and programs offered at the Parent Place are uniquely focused on supporting parents to do the best job they can raising their children.
Current programs at the Parent Place include: parent education courses, weekly parent support groups, and a parent resource library.
As campaign goals are achieved, Parent Place programming will be expanded to include Society programs that are currently off-site as well as programs that are currently in development.
