I had the opportunity to join The Bridge Outreach team for a shift in Downtown Kelowna, five hours that opened my eyes to a new perspective on homeless life in the Central Okanagan. My two colleagues – who I had only previously met at training sessions and meetings – took me under their wings to show me what they do day in day out. Naloxone Training Incredibly Popular at URBA After Hours

Attendees of the Uptown Rutland Business Association’s (URBA) June After Hours event became more prepared to help combat the provincial Opioid Overdose Crisis. For the first time at the event, free Naloxone training was offered by hosts at The Bridge Youth & Family Services with approximately half of the 85 attendees taking part in the brief hands-on training session and leaving with their own Naloxone kit.
